Matt Brockman, a life long Florida native who grew up here in Central Florida. Matt saw a need for quality contractors to provide transparent communication and detail oriented work. Our story
About the founder
Founded in 2024, by Capt. Matt Brockman. Matt was born and raised in Longwood, FL on the North side of Orlando. He attended Bishop Moore Catholic High School before moving up to Tallahassee, where he went on to Tallahassee Community College and then Florida State University. During the time spent in Tallahassee Matt started a branch of a friends Construction business servicing a wide range of commercial clients all across the panhandle specializing in renovations, installs and repairs. After college Matt went on to acquire his Captains license and start Keep’N It Salty Guide Service, an inshore fishing guide business that brought him back to Central Florida, where he is still located today, in New Smyrna Beach. After some time off from the trades, Matt got back into construction again for another company where he got back into commercial and residential work, eventually transitioning to dock building. However, After seeing the destruction of family/friends, homes and businesses through hurricanes and other disasters, it became very apparent there was a need for quality help. That’s when Matt decided to start Big B. It started as a business license and insurance policy so that Matt could work legally, that led to Matt attending Cam Tech School of Construction and passing all of his state contractors exams to certify the business in house. Which brings us to today, where we have the pedal to the floor growing in a healthy and prosperous way, making new clients friends along the way!
